Hey guys! The group “The Raspberry Brothers”, who have helped advertise Just ASK in the past just sent this out to their newsletter subscribers. Some fun stuff, mostly in Williamsburg. You can find out more at their website: www.RaspberryBrothers.com
This Sh*t is Bananas!
I’ve got frozen chocolate-covered bananas to give you on Monday, leg-warmers on Tuesday, and White-Russians on Saturday.
Mon- TV PartyWhy stay at home and watch tv, when you can go to the Knitting Factory for a TV Party? September is Arrested Development month, and in celebration we are opening the Knitting Factory Banana Stand! Free frozen bananas (w/ chocolate and nuts) on sticks, just like the Bluth’s…while supplies last! Eat em while we watch the greatest episodes from each season.
During the series you can expect some live A.D-themed fun, like: The Nevernudes, an Arrested Development band. And live magic tricks gone wrong in honor of everyone’s favorite illusionist, Gob! And DJ Fangbat will spin A.D related tracks!
Tues- Raspberry Brothers dance editionWay before the Step Up series, there were dance against the odds classics like Flashdance and Dirty Dancing. We will show them both…and wrap them with jokes like wool on legs.
Sat- Spoons, Toons, and BoozeEvery Saturday it’s free sugar cereals, vintage cartoons and booze. Just an update- we have many flavors of White Russians. Strawberry, Chocolate, Amaretto, Banana, and some blue one called the Smurf.
And there are many new cartoons, including my favorite, the Wacky Races. It’s a car race starring Dasterdly and Muttley, and we’ve been gambling on the races, Kentucky Derby style. FUN!!
This is our third and final contest of the season, with the winning playwright having a full length one act piece of theirs produced in full during our December show, Anyone for a Swingin’ Threesome?
